About titleDISC.com
Q&A
Q: How does this work?
A: An event registered with titleDISC.com will have its entry
form duplicated on this website. Players interested in signing up for
a tournament can find its listing by date, region or state. When an
events link is "clicked" the potential entrant will be taken
to that events entry form. The form will be filled out online and when
submitted, the information will be sent to both titleDISC.com as well
as the TD of the event. After the form is submitted, the entrant will
be linked to a secure server in order to pay online. (Currently, we
accept Visa, MasterCard, AmEx, Discover and e-check through PayPal.
You may even pay using your existing PayPal balance. From that point,
titleDISC will receive notice that the entry is accepted and the credit
card will be charged. An acceptance notice will be generated to the
applicant and the next step will be to show up to the event on time.
Q: Who pays for this?
A: In most cases, the entrant will pay the nominal service fee (2.5% + $1.50)
for the service. Some events may be able to secure sponsorship that will
allow them to subsidize this fee in whole or in part.
The purpose of the fee is to cover the costs involved with being able to
offer online entries on a secure server.
Q: What makes titleDISC the best at online registration?
A: titleDISC was the first to do this, and we've been getting better ever since.
As a player, you are
treated much more fairly with our rate structure. We consistently put our years of
experience to good use by streamlining the process and adding new features almost
daily. We offer our service to all events, regardless of sanctioning. Any and all
disc golfers can make use of our forums free of charge. Soon, every player will be
able to log in and register their information once, then use it to sign up for as
many tournaments as they like without ever having to re-type that info. Lots of
new features are coming down the pike, and all of them are exclusive to titleDISC. We have
this flexibility because we are the only custom-coded disc golf registration site
in the market today. We aren't tied to the constraints of software built for
another purpose, nor is event registration relegated to an afterthought on a site
built for sales.
Thanks and please shoot me some feedback.
