Q: How does this work?

A: Fill out the form below and we will add an entry form to our website for your event. When that form is filled out and submitted, the entrant will be forwarded to a secure server to fill out payment information. Once payment is completed, titleDISC is updated to show that entry as completed. Every TD is given a login which can be used to view up-to-the-minute entry status, to manage open and closed events, and to close a tournament's entry page before the scheduled cutoff. Cutoffs can be scheduled by date and time or by number of entries taken.

Q: Why would I want my tournament to accept entries on TitleDisc?
A: First of all, the players convenience. Players find it easier to come to titleDISC and enter tournaments than filling out a form that requires them to write a check and drop it in the mail. Secondly, The tournament will benefit from added exposure (I hope) that having an entry form on this site will allow. Not only will your event be listed, but when your listing is clicked, your entry form with complete information will allow players to get further information about your tournament. Also, We will give your tournament a free thread in the Tournaments section of our forums. Finally, the service can cost the tournament nothing. You can't lose.

Q: But I thought the PDGA was handling online registration now?
A:
While it is true that the PDGA has decided to competing with us, the related verbage on their sanctioning form is a bit misleading. You ARE NOT required to use their service! We at titleDISC strive to offer better customer service, better rates, and a better overall online registration experience than anyone else in the market. If you want to take advantage of our years of experience versus those who may not have been in this market very long, we'll be happy to oblige. Simply check "No" on the online registration section of the sanctioning form, then submit your info here. You'll be glad you did!

Q: What makes titleDISC the best at online registration?
A:
titleDISC was the first to do this, and we've been getting better ever since. As a TD, you get instant access to each and every entry as they come in. Players are treated much more fairly with our rate structure. We consistently put our years of experience to good use by streamlining the process and adding new features almost daily. We offer our service to all events, regardless of sanctioning. Any and all disc golfers can make use of our forums free of charge. Soon, every player will be able to log in and register their information once, then use it to sign up for as many tournaments as they like without ever having to re-type that info. Lots of new features are coming down the pike, and all of them are exclusive to titleDISC. We have this flexibility because we are the only custom-coded disc golf registration site in the market today. We aren't tied to the constraints of software built for another purpose, nor is event registration relegated to an afterthought on a site built for sales.

Q: Sure this sounds great, but how does my event get its money?
A:
The TD will receive a preliminary check the week before the event is scheduled, then another one once it closes. This is the standard payment schedule and can be modified at the request of the TD. Just communicate your needs and we'll take care of it.

Q: Does this cost my event anything?
A:
This is also up to you. titleDISC charges the players a handling fee (2.5% + $1.50) to cover our expenses. This can be "subsidized" by the event if you prefer. The handling fee can be paid 100%, 50%, or 0% by the event, the player will cover the rest. This is usually covered by a sponsor but can be handled however you like. If you choose this option, we will simply deduct the handling fee from the checks we send.

Q: How do I turn off online registration?
A:
This is now easier than ever. When you set up a "close date/time" for your event, it will automatically close at the specified time. You may also log in and close the event any time you like. You can even re-open it if you decide to add a flight, have some dropouts, whatever the reason.

Q: How do I get the player information once they register for my event?
A:
Using the new "TD Admin" feature, you can log in at any time and view a list of entries that is current to the very minute. You can even get an automatically-generated Excel spreadsheet any time you like from the TD Admin page.

Q: What's the "catch"?
A:
Well...actually we will request that you let people know that you are accepting entries online. We will send you information in our response email. Please add to all mailouts, flyers, etc..."Enter online at titleDISC.com." We also prefer not to list a mailing address for snail-mail entries since we are, after all, in the business of taking entries online.
